But some schools even will do a 5 year reunion now. Which is just silly cause at 5 years you likely still see many people you went to HS with.
Our 5 year reunion was at Brother Martin ended up being a shitshow. Everyone was drunk and was just doing dumb things throughout the school.

My high school does it. I'm from Ohio, live in the deep south, and have a family. I'm not traveling there to catch up with people that I outgrew years ago.

Dammit Bressus did we go to the same high school?

Imagine that. A bunch of frat-stars that had still not worked a day in their life getting together a reminiscing about a time when their lives were pretty much exactly the same.

Our 10 and 20 were more fancy with a higher entry fee. Our 5 and 15 were just meeting up at a local bar with no entry fee.

I want mine to be during football season, preferably on a Saints or LSU home game weekend.

Same. Wife's HS does one every 5 years, we do one every 10.
10th was a blast because the people that show up to these things are all generally normal and want to have fun.
Side note: My dad's 40th HS reunion was a few weeks ago. FBI showed up and escorted one of his former classmates out on outstanding warrants. He made the mistake of posting on the group Facebook page that he was going to the event.

I still keep up with several of my friends from high school. The rest of them, there's a reason I don't keep up with them. Why would I want to reunite with those assholes?

We try to do an informal get together every other year or so. Just pick a night a few months in advance and meet up some place. Every 5 years do a big one.

Gives us a good reason to drink, see each other, and have a fun night out. I have no problem with this.

Ours was $75 and I found out three days before because it was a Facebook thing and I never had Facebook. It's pretty easy to get in touch with people who are from my HS, but the chick putting it on decided to announce it on the internet instead
