The track meet stabber is awaiting a trial date. He would have been let out on bail in basically any state I think

They still haven't released the name of the student or teacher, but the student's family was informed of the news while they were in line to pick him up at the secondary location.

Damn.

Starting to think there may have been an inappropriate relationship between the shooter and victim.

My house is literally 2 miles away from the school and no one is releasing the student's name.

Love triangle between the 15 year old, the teacher, and an 8th grader from the local junior high.

^this. A kid born today in 2026 is no different than one born in 1926, 1826, or 2026 BC. What’s changed is how they’re raised.

There are some differences, though. The incredible amount of external images thrown at kids these days. Cell phone, TV, social media, etc. Even good parenting can't shield a kid 100% from this. Another thing is the food that kids eat. God knows what's in modern day diets, and how it affects kids mental health.

Uhhh how the hell does that not get you expelled? Esp in TX.

Because our governor is retarded and yes, I voted for him.

It’s all about funding. They want warm bodies in those seats or they lose money per head.

Also, it’s not just TX - it’s nationwide. Look at Baltimore school districts. Mofos can’t even read and get pushed to the next grade. Graduation is now a negotiation or turn a blind eye to pass them.

When a 15 year old murders an adult then kills himself do you think that's planned behavior or that he did it, realized his life was done no matter what.. Because even at 15 I have to image there will never be a "normal" life after killing someone.. I just can't understand the mindset that leads someone to kill someone else who isn't a threat to you. Even at that age, it just seems like something that you are taught and that killing someone in cold blood is the ultimate sin.

You're doing this wrong. The 2 dozen mouth breathers who attended the "No Kings" protest told me that it's only racist to require an ID to vote.

Saw that in the comments of an article on the shooting. Any substance to it or just speculation?

This is distressing to me. And it's growing trend. Murder+Suicide.

He's 15 years old. His life is over before it even began and he ends it by shooting a Spanish high school teacher. That's what his entire life lead up to. Shooting a teacher and then - lights out.

Human life is such a precious gift and that's what this kid apparently thought about it. What the frick are we doing as a society? This makes me very sad. We need to know more so this kind of shite can be prevented. Where did his life turn to make this something that is even possible?

One of my tenants is a teacher and her associate teacher was literally beat up in front of the class and the kid was back in the class the next day. Meanwhile, she had a broken collarbone and tons of facial lacerations.

This was in an article about the shooting from early this morning:

quote:

Reports of student violence surged in the district

Reports of students injuring Comal Independent School District educators increased nearly 20 times over the last three school years, according to data analyzed by KSAT Investigates.

In Comal ISD, data collected by KSAT Investigates shows that reports of student-caused injuries were nearly 20 times higher in the 2024-25 school year than in the two school years prior.

According to the injury reports, Comal ISD educators reported being bitten, headbutted and choked by students during the 2024-25 school year.

My sons graduated in 2023 and 2024. I don't recall ever hearing of a student assaulting a teacher at Smithson Valley or Pieper.

My daughter is a Senior at Smithson Valley now. She hasn't come home with any stories like this.

However, the Comal ISD does include Canyon Lake High School. Apparently it's pretty bad out there.

Canyon Lake HS can be pretty trashy. Not a surprise given its proximity to a lake. My kids have competed against Canyon Lake in athletics many times over the years as they are in our high school’s district.
