That's not how this works. They would need the pass code or key. Chances are it is locked in a safe or safety deposit.

Sounds like a scam though.

You can beat that password....just by the time you do that coin may be worth zilch.

Yep. Brute force on 128-bit encryption is calculated to take around a billion years with a supercomputer working full time on it.

Scam imo.

That's a serious amount of money though considering how low crypto is.

The "dead" owner supposedly died in India. That man is holed up somewhere working his way through the Karma Sutra one Indian woman at a time.

They would likely be able to see the funds in his wallet. They would know if they were moved.

Apparently, they have been being moved since his reported death. This is definitely that guy pulling one hell of a scam. Also, they we're supposed to to have been in cold storage as well, which didn't happen.

After some pretty deep investigating by the Reddit community, they noticed that the company had practically been insolvent since Bitcoin had crashed and have been paying out people with recent deposits. It had turned into a pyramid scheme. Coincidentally, this guy went to India on a trip and died, then his wife no one knew about made the announcement about it.
