It Wasn't me. Spent 4 days in Chicago and felt safer there than in New Orleans. Of course stayed downtown and tourist areas

It is much safer than New Orleans or Baton Rouge any way you slice it. It is a city of 3 million and a metro area of 11 million. Of course there are bad areas. Avoid them.
