Its called the food chain. Not the gators fault hes higher on it than the things he eats. Same reason we kill and eat them.
Hooe the guy that shot it got ticketed/arrested.

The size of the gator is not in question regardless whether you question the pic or not.... also chest girth was 57 inches to go with 13 ft 4 inches. The weight was an approximation

Horse shite. They’ll plumb frick up your fishing trip in South Louisiana chasing your cork and bait. And a gator that size will eat your dog if so inclined. Again, I don’t think it’s right for some a-hole to shoot him from the side of the road, but a gator that size is betond a nuisance. I’m not gonna feel bad cause he’s assumed ambient temperature.

Sure that's a big gator, but I think the real question is how does that guy drive that tiny truck parked right next to him?

You do understand that fishing inside their territory is free game and you're fricking with them? I fish offshore a good amount and sure as shite don't blame sharks for fricking with my fishing gear.

True white trash rednecks are some of the worse society has to offer.

While that is a big arse gator, crocs can get up to 20 feet long and over a ton.

Wrong Cousteau. I’ll agree I’m entering his environment. And I’ll give him a wide berth when fishing. But I guarantee you, you aren’t seeing as many sharks OS as I’m seeing alligators IS. The number of gators in coastal LA has grown because they’re protected and there’s less hunting pressure on them (many reasons for that too). They weren’t always so plentiful that they’d harass an onshore fisherman. Thinning them out doesn’t bother me a bit. Especially if it’s a 13’r.
