In legal terms, moot means obviated by events.

If you make two arguments, both of which will result in dismissal, and you win on first, the second is moot.

This isn't in the list but an oft misheard lyric from Last Dance is "To hair and contentment that hangs in abasement
A woman now standing where once there was only a girl." Not, "...hangs in a basement..." as Spotify and many others seem to think.
