Even sweating feels better.

Just finished playing soccer with my son and even though I’m dripping, I’m not miserable at all. It’s a good sweat.

I was confused. You said the dry heat in Vegas was worse than the humid heat in Nola and then posted Dry heat > wet heat. Just thought you had your alligator mouth backwards.

I wasn't clear.

Dry heat isn't as bad as wet heat, hence dry heat > wet heat. But the people who say 90 in nola is worse or much worse than 100 in the desert are lying to themselves. Some people act like 100 with no humidity feels like 75 with humidity.

That said, 20 in Colorado is wayyyy easier than 40 in nola, hence dry cold >>>>>> wet cold.

Dry heat just feels hot on your skin, and that's it. It's not bad to deal with at all

Meh. I can do mid 90s all day walking around NOLA. It's hot as frick but I can deal with it as long as I'm not doing manual labor or anything. shite I was outside for about 2 hours today doing some maintenance on wife's car. It was hot, but not anything I wasn't used to in September.

106 in vegas was rough. Felt like I was in a broiler. Getting into the shade was only marginally better.

Put it this way, when it's 93 in NOLA, they say it "feels like" 99-100. When it was 106 in vegas they said it "feels like" 103. 103 is fricking hot.

The northern states have their moments of high humidity/high heat that rivals what we even have here. But the difference is it lasts like a week and they are back to reasonable temps. Right now Newark has a high of 80 and a low of 61 and getting cooler as the week moves on. I don't have to explain the difference in dealing with a week or two of heat vs 3 months of heat.

Humidity along with heat baw.....that's the killer for me.

Waiting for that fall cool front with low humidity to arrive. Then I will rise from the living dead and do stuff. Like a nice chilli or gumbeaux.
