I agree. This is the coolest 97 degrees I’ve ever felt. Can’t really complain too much.

I'm sitting under my porch right now boiling peanuts and smoking ribs. I have my misting systems rolling and for once they are finally working with the lower humidity

From 6am to 10 it feels right nice outside. Heat wouldn't be so bad if it were like this all summer. At least you can get a break at some point. Normally you walk outside at 6am and are hit with a steam bath. fricking bullshite.

I got tired of the cheapo misting systems nozzles clogging. Even when using a filter. And they would get everything wet around them because they really didn't atomize the water properly.
Finally broke down and bought a decent little system with 160psi pump and filter. It's nice when the humidity isnt 100%.

Look on Amazon for

mistcooling System-12 Nozzle System Patio System-160 PSI Misting Pump, 50 ft Length, Beige Color Tubing

Actually a really good time to cut the grass. Dry cuts make for the best cut.

It’s 98 and 106 Heat index and the sun is pissed I just mowed my very large yard. I feel like I might die momentarily.

I agree. But it’s September...that’s the only problem I have with it.

Nah.

Was in 106 degree heat in vegas 3 weeks ago.

Was really really fricking hot. Walking around in vegas in a tshirt and shorts was noticeably more miserable than walking around the nola cbd in my slacks and button down going to lunch each day.

And no, it was still broiler-hot in the shade.

Dry cold >>>>>>>> wet cold
Dry heat > wet heat.

If u can find shade, it's ok. Direct sun is a different story.

Isn't the point of the OP that ~10 degrees warmer dry heat is more bearable than humid heat?

I'm saying that 106 dry heat is much more miserable than 96 degree humid heat.

I was confused. You said the dry heat in Vegas was worse than the humid heat in Nola and then posted Dry heat > wet heat. Just thought you had your alligator mouth backwards.

The average high for this time of the year in NWLa is 87.

It was 102 today.

It sounds like you have Stockholm Syndrome.

102 going into the second week of September is some bullshite.
