What’s changed is how bullies are handled. We use to teach our kids to stand up to bullies or if they can stand up for others who are bullied. Now though we don’t teach that. Instead we don’t let kids learn to deal with bullies. We do it for them. Kids need to learn how to deal with bullies themselves orvthryll be bullied their entire life.

well if the reddit story is true, it would appear that the mom did give her child and the other kid ample time to work it out

at some point, the parents, at least good parents, will always step in

again, you are talking in nonsense

I also enjoy you lecturing about how to handle bullies, considering how well you handled being bullied on here

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office said pupils at a Canton Township school were playing “tips” April 29 in which participants jump to catch a ball that’s tossed upward.

Prosecutors say the game ended and a boy threw the ball “with force,” causing his 9-year-old classmate to suffer a concussion and abrasions.

It is my earnest hope that both sides will come back to the table to work out a solution that benefits both of these children ... hopefully, these charges will not have to be revisited."

So they put the kid and his shitty parent through the process to try and scare them both into becoming better people.

Good.

Exactly. As I’ve been saying all along there is a way to punish this kid without charging him with assault. What I would like to know is did this kid even know the other kid had this condition? And did he understand the consequences of hitting him in the head with a ball?

I read most of this thread. Conclusion most OTers jump to conclusions. Get cocky posted side #2. Sounds like a case of bullying. It also sounds like some woman is trying to make money off of the deal since she’s a horrible parent

Worthy's statement began by noting that the boy was never arrested, that efforts were made for a resolution before charges were considered and that "no one paid attention (to) the race of either" the suspect or the victim.

You’ve got to be the most smug a-hole on this site. As for how I handle bullies, I stand up to them and give back the same shite they give me.

If you'd read that, you wouldn't have asked that question. So no, it's clear you didn't read it.

I read that mom #1 disclosed kid #1’s condition to mom #2. Where did it say anything about kid #2 being notified? Or are you just assuming mom #2 told kid #2?

So other than assuming, how do you know kid #2 knew about the other kid’s condition?

So no the kid didn't know.

Had you read that before, you wouldn't have asked.

I assumed nothing. I only possessed the ability to read words.
