I thought tearing the statues down was supposed to stop all this???

Tearing the statues down was designed to give Mitch a point or two boost when he declares. It never had anything to do with perception of racism or anything beyond a few poll points.

It is kind of like the media saying 10 million times that Trayvon had Iced Tea when he clearly had a can of watermelon juice. It could not have been more clear in the evidence photos

Of all the takeaways in that god awful event you have a beef with this.

The owner seems to be somewhat respected in that community.

Will be interested to see if he publicly tries to help.

They know who the shooters were.

Finding them is going to be the issue.

They have people that will help hide them. They will eventually be caught but it may take a few days or weeks.

it appears it was a gangland killing... the idiots just did it in a super public place and caught a shite ton of unfortunate collateral damage in the process

Johnny Q Public may be too scared to talk b/c they don't want to be the next added to the body count

of course the suspect's family and gang buddies ain't going to rat him out

even the aggrieved's family and friends won't talk... they'll want to do street justice

just watch First 48... every murder investigator has to deal with that shite

ETA: since this had a high body count... more people may be willing to talk this time

if he had just taken out his lone target... there would be even less people willing to talk

I am sure the Parkland student protesters will be at that very location next Saturday night with a huge contingent of media.

So you think the only one I mentioned is the only one I noticed? I just chose one that was relevant to the situation at hand.

LINK
This link from the previous page has something in it that has been ignored here and it deserves to be hollered from the rooftops.,

The shooters were targeting one dude. When they got him on the ground, they shot him multiple times.
BUT.
The target dude wasn't in the crowd when this started. He (according to the article) ran into the crowd (presumably his friends) thinking that the shooters wouldn't shoot them all up. Well, surprise, surprise. Of a crowd of about twenty people, ten where shot. Twenty people and three dead. That's 15% and the shooters didn't care who they shot, so long as they got their target.

Fallguy_1978's link should be required reading in high schools accompanying a lecture on how to get killed by just hanging with your friends.

Jesus. Now I see why people don’t snitch. That’s some horrible shite, man. How do people have so little respect for human life?

If you get bored, do some reading on Telly Hankton and his family. They controlled the drug trade in New Orleans for years while terrorizing anyone that got in their way.

I'm familiar with the story. Is Telly in Angola?

In the police press conference, they basically said, "dont care of this yourselves. We have people trianed to take care of this." Meaning it was gang related and to not go out and kill the guys, tell the police who they are.

Of course in a week or so a gang will find them and kill them. Hopefully no innocent people die because of those idiots.

Newsflash: people grieve when their friends and family are murdered. It isn’t less sad if they work at McDonalds.

Completely inaccurate. History has shown us that there are many places in New Orleans for exactly that kind of violence.
