List is not believable without Welsh in the top 5.

Likely were scared for their lives if they did. Mean streets of welsh would come find them

What on Earth does Alexandria have to do to move up to number 1? Wasn't a bomber enough?

I've lived in BR and Nola for 40 of 42 years and I haven't either.

Property theft seems to be the driver here. Not rape, murder (BR and NO specialties)

Just don't own any property. Problem solved.

a little town of 6,296 people. In comparison to last year’s numbers, Walker has really skyrocketed in the wrong direction, climbing up nine ranks from the previous year with 938 violent crimes per 100k and 6,872 property crimes per 100k.

That is why statistics can be more damaging than facts.

It is the same thing that advertising and polls do to skew the numbers.

Back in the day, you would have cigarettes ads that would say something like 2 out 3 doctors smoke Camel cigarettes for their smooth taste. See right there you are limiting your study to a certain demographic and data set that favors your choice.

Same thing here you have a small population, but high crime numbers. So numbers will be much higher per x people if your town has a crime problem.

Yea, I was joking. Bastrop is the definition of a shithole.

I've only been through there a handful of times but it was pretty rough looking. Better than Ferriday, North Baton Rouge or New Orleans East I guess.

They just aren’t doing it right. NOLA changed the definition of murder. It only counts as murder if the victim dies within 24 hours. Murder rate went down dramatically after that.

hammond is really segregated...stay out of the area south of 190 between railroad & south morrison and you'll never have a problem.

if you also stay out of wal-mart, dollar general and all convenience stores, you'll think you are in mayberry
