It's going to be right at 10 years (2016 to 2026).

Stubbornness, mainly. I know, to put a positive spin on it "persistence", but it is really just plain, old-fashioned bullheadedness.

Self Employed is likely the best answer. Stop being a W2 employee, your "income" will go down on paper, but your S Corp will be making the money.
You will stay below a certain income threshold for tax reasons. Your LLC or S Corp has the money.
If this is wrong, please tell me so I can fire my accountant.

Pretty fast, of course Sales and Marketing Reps make the money

It typically takes 5 months to get to 100k and 5-5.5 months to get to 200k.

I went to the pipeline when I turned 14 and made 200k working 7 12s for 3 months straight

You better chill before someone fricks your wife on a pile of money.

Most OT ballers were making a half-mill doing part-time stock trading while in junior high.
Stop being poor.

taxable income is a poor man's game. look for opportunities that produce large cash flows then hire a good CPA to tell how to legally skim all that you can.

The better thread would be to post your job title and let's see what we're really working with on the OT. My suspicion is we have a lot of $50-$75K people posting here routinely with a few $100K+ sprinkled in here and there. Add the wife's income and we're talking about a lot more six figure incomes.

It's all pass-through to you, so it'll still be "income" on your tax return. You can manipulate it easier and get out of some self-employment tax if you pay yourself a lower salary through your s-corp then take cash distributions.
