I was pretty fortunate that I went from 100-200 in just about 4 years. I got a job where the growth was right and leveraged that into 3 promotions during that time.

I’d say from an entry level engineer to VP level took me around 20 years. That’s when I busted the $200K mark. Possibly before the title promotion.

I dont know how long it took to get for 100 to 250k....but I can tell you that 250k to 50k can happen on a Thursday.
