1 dead, 11 others shot in mass shooting outside of the Republic in Nola Warehouse District

Police responded to a call at approximately 11:56 p.m. in the 800 block of South Peters Street, where they found one woman shot to death and eleven others shot.
The victims were transported to a local hospital by EMS while others were brought to the hospital by private vehicles.
Police did not immediately release more information. The investigation is ongoing.

When I first read this I thought it may have been a Tulane student on a drug binge. Republic is known for their techno and dubstep shows.
Then I realized the day and time it happened and did some digging. Looks like it was a special event and this one won’t be getting national attention.

Republic has had a bunch of issues. For a stretch there, it was a location with donuts in the intersection and fights in the street. Obviously this would fit that theme but not sure how regular the issues are these days
