My folks are in Greenbrier/Wooster area, my dad told me he going to buy a generator today.

It’s all about clicks. Zack’s a good meteorologist but here locally Wade Hampton of KPLC has made the local area aware of the potential. In his own words “ I’m not going to show any models 5 days out”. He went on to say as we get closer and the models keep showing it he’ll show models when we get into the 3 day range.

I generally like Zack, but as he gets older he's becoming a combination of Bob Breck and Margaret Orr rolled into one with the doomcasts.
I still find him to be pretty accurate. Margaret Orr once told viewers to get in the bathtub and cover your head with a mattress. I don't find Zach to be anywhere near that level of a doomcaster.

I got friends in Wooster. Birdwells.
If I never see snow or ice I'm good but we get that shite every year.

In in north ms seemingly right on the cutoff line between like 7-14 inches of snow and .75 inches of ice
Like almost all models have it splicing through my area and I don’t know what the frick is gonna happen

I was born and raised in Conway, graduated in 2000. I think I can only recall just a handful of winter events growing up.

Margaret Orr had an infamous moment during a live tornado where she let out a large gasp.

Somewhat anecdotally, The Weather Channel just wobbled lower on temps for BR.
29 Saturday night (was 30)
36 for a high on Sunday (was 38).
This tells me that the gulf low likely took a southern shift allowing for more cold air/slightly increasing the chances of icing.
Things will of course continue to fluctuate, but it's trending colder and icier.

Christ. Both GFS and Euro show North Georgia getting hammered with ugliness. Not great, Bob.

I think it's going to be nastier and colder than they are predicting personally. Especially if it starts icing and/or sleeting earlier then they expect. Computers won't have a handle on ice accumulations effect on the ambient atmosphere and ground. Ice on the ground will keep temps way colder then forecasted on Sunday afternoon.
Not doomcasting, this is just an observation. And obviously depends on your location and what type of precipitation you see at the onset and when it switches over.
