My first trip up your way was almost 20 years ago this month. I took off from Houston it was a pleasant, pre-dawn 70 degrees. I landed in Minneapolis and it was 8. Being relatively unaccustomed to weather quite that cold, I barely made it from the terminal to the cab in just a trench coat over work clothes (I literally didn't know shite about layering then, baws).

To hell with -30.

I was sweating my balls off down there in April.

And it is largely wasted on Californians.

-30 is way too cold

The occasional 0 to 10 degree day isn't so bad, if you know it's coming.

This is why I’m convinced that Nashville is a great place to invest in real estate even with the high prices already. They have a solid 4 seasons but none get extreme. Well maybe summer gets hot but still. Plus it’s centrally located and you are a 1.5 hour plane ride to everywhere but the west coast.

90 and humid is bad enough here. At least it's not all damn summer but rather a few random days.

Move south my friend. Yeah you will sweat your arse off 3/4 of the year but you wont lose a finger to heat

Very true. But moving south, you could very well lose a leg to diabetes.

How long you reckon it’d take to loose an entire spouse?

serious question, why the hell would you want to live in that for like 6 months out of the year. F that.

Minneapolis is one of the best cities in North America.

-30 is rare. The rest of the time you dress for it and enjoy outdoor activities, unless you're a pussy. Ice fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, ice skating, etc. The only real bitch about winter is snow removal.

You have no idea how fun this is.

Fair enough but you have to admit the summers are really nice.

It's all about what you are used to. I'd imagine many Southerners have never been in cold like that but have been dealing with the heat their entire lives.

Virginia. Most winters are pretty mild. We get some cold days but almost never brutally cold days. The summers have been very pleasant for many years.

LOL.
I might be moving there next year. I was there when it was zero degrees and “feels like” was -20. Wasn’t that bad. Driving in that is a concern of mine though
