Discuss whatever views and act like an adult about it. I usually don't discuss politics though because it is futile discussing politics with anyone.
Most of their views tend to be rooted in not caring what other people do. Wanting to do good in general. Try to make the world a better place.
Those views are held by just about everyone though.
It is interesting that you think reddit is nothing but hipsters though.

How does not caring what other people do fit with wanting to make the world a better place? Those seem like conflicting viewpoints.
Hipsters care a fricking lot what other people do. In fact, hipsters tend to go to great lengths to look and act certain ways.
Most people weren't raised like a hipster, so if they're a hipster they went through a conscious effort to take on all aspects of what compromises one (habits, thoughts, dress style is a big part of being hipster, where they eat, etc.).

I never said it was "nothing but hipsters". I would say reddit brings more hipsters than any other site.
