the Dolphins long snapper got hurt this week as well. I wonder when the last time 2 long snappers got hurt in one week?

Looks like I’ll be dusting off my Super Bowl Jason Kyle jersey for the game

Half that, so yeah a long time. This is his 10th season and until now he has never missed a game.

Long Snapper is one of those positions you never think about until you have to replace one or have a guy fill in, and it doesn't go well

There is a reason why some of these guys just stick around with a team for a decade

I assume he will go on short term IR

Is there still a limit on the number of guys that can go on short-term IR?

There is, yes. I don't know the number but its actually not a lot

However, you aren't taking up 2 roster spots for LS. If he is out 4-6 weeks, he is either going to short or long term IR

Interesting fact.

John Ridgeway III has practiced long snapping the last two training camps. Never actually done it in a live game though preseason or regular.

I'm headed over to the practice facility.
I've been dabbling in my long snaps in the backyard

The limit is 8 players. 10 if you reach the post season (though not sure if the time frame is shortened for the last 2 since that's at the end of the year).

Oddly enough, I had a calf strain one time. It was terrible just walking around.

Time to put in a call to Long Snapper University (LSU) and get one of them Ferguson boys or bring Brian Kinchen back.

This is bad news. You can tell how good he is at his job because you never hear his name called. Deep snapping is not as easy as you think. I’m sure we will get a snapper off the street somewhere. I wonder if one of the famous LSU “Deep Snapping Fergusons” is available?
