he looked wrong for that spot. Expect to see the same thing with Cam.

He’s look wrong the last two seasons, I don’t think his position matters

Yeah I guess the science says lean, strong and fast is better than being big fat , strong and very slow. Speed generally kills.

I’m excited to see what Chase can do as an OLB. Cam is about to have his Will Smith 2013 season before retiring.

You noted that Granderson, Young and Foskey are outside linebackers in the new 3-4 scheme ….
** now they will need to play in space !!

I think next year there are 2 linebackers being drafted in the 7 rds.

Hahahaha

I know it can change, but can somebody do a diagram of Saints starting defense based off info from this thread.

Losing too much weight, likely going to be shoved all over the place. Why is Foskey even mentioned?

That’s not how it works

Not a diagram but:

FS- Reid
SS- Mathieu
OCB- McKinstry and Yiadom
SCB- Taylor
OLB- Young and Granderson
ILB- Davis and Werner
DE- Bresee
DT Godchaux

That would be our Nickel package, which is the most used. If we are in base 3-4, swap Yiadom out and Taylor to OCB, and add in someone at DE (likely Jordan, as I'm sure he will play both OLB and DE; otherwise maybe Broughton?).

This is why I REALLY think we need to add another veteran corner. It is by far the weakest spot on the team. Unless the rookie somehow shows out, but that's hard to rely on.

I think Can probably plays both end and olb. Early in camp probably having him start at olb due to it being the more difficult to learn out of the 2.
