Would you take Matt Ryan as a consolation prize?

Look, we all know Goodell hates us, but he can't MAKE us take a player as a penalty.

Not for a trade. Would rather Winston as free agent instead without giving up any resources.

No.

If we don't get Deshaun I expect we are going to immediately re-sign Jameis and then go on a spending spree to bolster the WR/TE/OL.

For some reason beating the Falcons or winning a super bowl with him woukd make me feel good especially if we lose out on Watson

If he was an FA and we could sign him to a brand new deal that’s not expensive, I would consider him

I would never ever ever give the Falcons anything for him though

Nope.
Re-sign Winston
Pay Ceedy Deuce
Sign either Landry/Crowder/Fuller
Sign either Hooper/Ebron/Jarwin
Draft 1st Rd Olave/Burks/Wilson
Draft 2nd Rd OT
Draft 3rd Rd RB

I'd take Winston over Ryan, but as a FA would not mind him being a stop gap until we get our future. Plus, as you put it

This would be glorious. Could only imagine what Matt Ryan would do with a team that invests in the o-line

If Goodell hates anybody it’s Sean Payton, not the Saints.

Sean Payton quiting on us could be a blessing in disguise

If he was a FA would sure look into it. But hell would freeze before a trade between the two orgs.

This. The only possible scenario we get him is if he gets released. I would definitely take him as an FA on a better deal

We need to stop acting like Winston is a guarantee. We already offered him.

And let’s say he has a great four or five year run with us and wins one or two super bowls. Falcons fans think he’s a hall of famer now, (I don’t think) but woukd be glorious he goes into the HOF as a saint lol. Total dual gut/ball sack punch to the falcons…..
