New Orleans area has nice communities. Parks of Plaquemines, English Turn, Gabriel, and many more. You have people building 2+ million dollar homes in these subdivisions.

I can’t imagine her being any better as owner… She didn’t have the support and expertise around her.

You think Rita would have used the Saints organization to help cover up potential pedophilia in the Catholic Church?

Related, whatever happened to Rita? She was a firecracker. What insane sunset did she walk off into?

What does that matter? Saints are the key not the city. Most of us have left Louisiana as well, so why be hypocritical worrying about the Saints ultimate move from NOLA.

As for the OP question, it can’t get any worse so yes Rita would’ve been a much better owner from a win loss perspective. Loomis would’ve been fired years ago for sure.

Goddamn you suck.

Apparently still has a home in NO but no one has seen her in years.

The settlement must have been huge and thorough. Keeping her quiet and well behaved (especially after inhaling a G of 94% banana boat coke) was never easy.

I'm guessing a big number in principal paid monthly with conditions. Blow (get it) the conditions no money.

She is still a minority owner and her shares are non-voting.

Hopefully after Gayle’s publicized debacle protecting pedo priests, KM has leverage to demand Rita’s shares convert to voting immediately as a 1st attempt to wrest control of her rightful inheritance.

Wrong as I read things as it happened. Benson gave her a shot to run things and take over after him. She blew it big time and didn't take her opportunity seriously. So she got the boot and not by Loomis but Tom.

She was running the VooDoo and did a pretty good job… they were a very successful organization

NOLA is all things being equal a net negative on the franchise.

NOLA is all things being equal a net negative on the franchise. Players and coaches want to live in beautiful vibrant communities and owners want litters of fans and corporate Fortune 500 types to pay for overpriced tickets, suites, and adult beverages.

Economics of Super Bowl upgrades

Give me the economics on this since local revenues account for about 17% for an NFL team. Not doubting you could make more in a more vibrant city but would it really move the needle that much - my guess is maybe $25-40 million in additional revenue. What's your guess?

In addition, you have to get a $1.5-2 billion new stadium built to accommodate the team in any city you mentioned vs one of the most ownership friendly stadium deals in the NFL in New Orleans.

Added video on economics of recent upgrades.

No not “like this” it would have been different and sooner. The only thing worse than hanging on the people too long is constantly firing people.
