There should be a documentary done about Rita’s time as the “owner in waiting” for the Saints. It would be must see TV if nothing was off limits & the full truth was told.

Did she at least pay the bills for your services? Gayle has a history of delinquency with such matters. Rita may be quirky but payment for services can make the awkwardness worthwhile.

What is far worse from where we are now? Not sure things could be any worse looking for the next 2 seasons than where we are. We do not have the No 1 pick with Burrow or Daniels in the draft.

Our current situation not withstanding, we are lucky she is long gone from Nola.

From what I heard, Mickey and some other higher ups didn’t want to work for her. So that would have solved our current problem.

To bad she was a rug doctor, if she could have married a smart football guy we probably would have been better off. Women suck at running professional sports.

Very true, and they usually get to run them only because of who they are fricking or if they inherit them.

I know from what I saw with my own eyes on more than one occasion, that she's a full blown lunatic, who is prone to wild emotional outbursts. WILD emotional outbursts. I also know that very important people in the building told Tom at the time that they wouldn't ever work for her.

She's fricking crazy.

What does that matter? Saints are the key not the city. Most of us have left Louisiana as well, so why be hypocritical worrying about the Saints ultimate move from NOLA.

I may have moved from NOLA, but, if the Saints move from my hometown I'm done with them. I might even become a Falcons, Bucs, or Panthers fan out of spite, if I were to stay interested in the NFL at all.

I just don’t see it that way. The Saints would be moving for a better “quality of life” than you and I who moved. Completely hypocritical to expect of them what we refuse to do and to penalize them by switching teams (Falcons, really?).

If the Saints moved to your new town you might feel differently, but the NFL is not worried about fan erosion from its smallest market when the new market will have 2-3X population and 5X or greater Fortune 500 companies.

Most of us can see the Saints would be better off elsewhere, let them go.

The Saints dodged a bullet when Grandpa Tom came to his senses and ran that miserable B-itch out of the building.

A question we will never know the answer to, but I wonder if Tom made that decision on his own, or was he heavily influenced by the league since they need to know all of the owner's succession plans so they can approve of a potential new owner.

The Saints are literally the only reason I watch the NFL, if my hometown doesn't have a team, I'm not gonna care. Simple as.

If anything my new favorite team would be whoever's playing them.

My "new town" has a team of its' own. I don't cheer for them. I have loyalty to where I'm from, for better or worse, despite not being there.

Most of us can see the Saints would be better off elsewhere, let them go. lol no. If the saints moved to Texas they will be battling for the #2 team behind the cowboys. St.Louis is a baseball town most midwestern people already have their teams in the bears, Vikings, packers, lions etc….. the saints don’t represent just NOLA they represent the entire gulf coast.

When is the last time the Saints have won a significant free agent battle where other teams really coveted the player? We went all in on Watson, Suh, Clowney, etc and lose miserably every time. Even native son OBJ blew us off for greater limelight.

Players if they have options do not want to live in a region with by NFL city standards poor neighborhoods, atrocious schools, and general miserable quality of life. Same for coaches all things being equal.

San Antonio/Austin, Salt Lake City, Toronto and many other markets offer so much more than NOLA and the new owner has every right to maximize the value of his investment. When the NFL goes to a MLB type cap where large teams can spend more than small market the Saints are gone.

To answer my original question, it’s really been since Jairus Byrd that we won a major FA battle. Don’t retort with Brees he was damaged goods who wanted Miami if Saban’s doctor would’ve approved.

She would have called them all to the carpet.
She wouldn’t take no muff.
She’d take them whistling through the wheat field.
She’d prove to be a cunning linguist.
