The New Orleans Saints trade their first round pick to insert team name that give us the best trade value. This team needs to be rebuilt and it doesn't start with a QB. It starts with the offensive and defensive lines. You need quality starters all around not 1 QB.

and we've drafted at those positions... we just haven't drafted WELL at those positions....
our current OL is comprised of 4 1st rounders and a 2nd... and it's still shite

Fuaga, Ruiz played sparingly. McCoy didn’t play. Clapp got hurt early so we had the 3rd team C in very early.

Penning at G is a project we are only entertaining b/c he flamed out at T, the position we drafted him for.. again, we used a 1st round pick on this guy, who failed at both T positions and we've moved him in hopes of getting SOMETHING out of him before we totally have to move on from him...
look, Fuaga and McCoy, solid... 100% agree with these picks... Banks may pan out, we'll see... but so far, from the ones we know, they are 2/4... but considering how high we took all these guys, you can't have a 50% hit rate... if these guys were lower round guys, of course, i wouldn't judge them as harshly, but the sunk cost of taking these linemen so high and not being as good as we hoped, it's a detriment to the roster construction... it just is

He was a total failure at LT. He was serviceable at RT last year. Not great, not bad. I hope he can play guard, but I think he’s a bit slow and not going to be great at passing guys off. We’ll see.

I agree that we need to upgrade a lot of positions and aren’t a QB away.
But we will probably have a high draft pick next year and it should be a good QB class with guys like LaNorris Sellers, Garrett Nussmeier, Drew Allar, Cade Klubnik and Fernando Mendoza available.
If you are drafting that high, you can’t pass on a potential franchise QB. You get your WR or OG in the 2nd and 3rd round and find a pass rusher in the next draft or FA.
