Jameis is a great talent, but as he has shown his entire career, he is a player that is so streaky and not the most mental of QBs. This is not about intelligence. He can read a defense at times then makes bonehead plays. He’s basically Favre without the development over the course of his career.

He will make as many great plays for you as bonehead plays in the long run, but that is what you have to expect with him.

Add in the fact that your Head Coach in above his head and you get this start to the season.

Team could easily be 0-3 and that in division if not for ATL choking.

If the goal is to win a Super Bowl, he is not who you want.

He’s been hurt, but that’s no excuse. It’s like the light doesn’t turn on until the 4th quarter, not just the QB but the entire team. If his injuries are hindering the team then maybe put in the proven backup that’s standing on the sidelines.

What is infuriating about Jameis is that we are scheming receivers open and he is either to late to see it or is taking YOLO deep shots when he has an intermediate receiver open. His miss to Landry in the endzone was probably the worst throw I have ever seen. He had all the time in the world, and Jarvis had the entire corner of the endzone to work with. We connect there, we win that game.

I have to admit. After last season's start, I had faith in him. The TD-INT ratio was great, the yard totals and wins were even better, but now?

He just doesn't have it. I refuse to watch games the remainder of this year with him at the helm. No, I'm not saying Dalton would be better, but it's just ugly right now. On paper, we had the most underrated, scary offense in the league. Hell, right now we can't even score.

I gave Winston the benefit of the doubt and let him play his way into this hole. I think since Drew's retirement, I have accepted that the 'old Saints' have returned. Not saying that I'm not a fan, but I won't put my heart and soul into it, damn well knowing we're going to lose.

Fool's gold.

Two hyper-efficient games against GB and WAS where he threw 9 TD (a few which were extreme luck and should have been picked) on 29 completions and he still averaged less than 200 yards a game. Dog shite 59% completion percentage. Saints were winning last year in spite of Jameis.

If they are playing him where he is injured enough that it is hindering his game, then

A.) Organization left the cupboard bare at the position and he is still your best option (funny how Payton dipped after 1 year with no Drew when they couldn't throw for 200 yards a game)

B.) Coaches are inept, and the organization made the lazy hire instead of performing a real search.

What yard totals? They averaged under 200 yards a game
