Will the rest of the NFL start using the Tasom Hill strategy?

We all know that Hill is our swiss army knife. QB, WR, RB (if nec), PR, KR. Will the NFL start drafting or turning athletes into multiple position athletes like this?

When I say multiple position athletes, I mean QB and ANOTHER physical hitting position (WR, PR, KR etc.). This will make the cap easier to manage and will be able to pay your big time players more money instead of having to look for it; like the Khalil Mack situation.

It’ll be interesting to see what kind of guarantee on his contract he will get when it’s his time.

I think Hill brings in a serious wrinkle not only because of his wheels, but because you can't assume he's always just going to take off running. To me the threat of a pass has to be there in order for the defense to respect it.

I said to my son last night watching the Steelers and Baltimore game after the Saints game, offensive coordinators are looking to diversify their offenses by taking advantage of the RPO QBs coming out of college. RPO QBs can't last an entire season in the NFL and in general offensive coordinators will still stick with pro-style QBs as the basis of their offense to save their QBs from injury. But they seem to be taking advantage of the RPO skill-set especially from very athletic QBs. I don't expect offensive coordinator to totally abandon the pro-style offenses because these RPO QBs would simply not last through an entire NFL season. But I do expect them to get more playing time to diversify offensive play calling.

If other teams have a Hill on their team I can see them mimicking what the Saints are doing, but I don't see many teams with that kind of a talent that is that versatile on their team.

Not many Taysom's in the league that is a stud special teams cover guy, returns kickoffs, can throw a pass like an NFL caliber qb, can run from the qb position by using his speed or by running over a Safety such as Landon Collins into the ground.

The Saints are the only team who can do that. Why? Cause kamara is a major part of hill’s snaps. And there is only on hill and kamara duo. And it’s even more of a headache when drew is lined up wide out. Im willing to bet hill is gonna lateral to drew who’s gonna long bomb one down the field soon. Many Saints fans really don’t understand what we have on the offense. The only thing we could really ask for is some mobility from the starting qb position. Drew’s goat but our boy fricking sucks when it comes to running. Dude blatantly ignores easy pickings in rush yards. Don’t believe that? Ask yourself how frustrating that is vs how surprised and hyped you are when he has those seldom scrambles! It’s a love/hate i have. Ok enough with my rambling!

Yep. It's a copy cat league as they say

The formations Baltimore used last night with Lamar looked eerily similar to the Saints

It will be interesting to see if a player like Trace McSorley gets drafted/signed udfa for a role like this.

Payton is going to keep using that Hill RPO play with Brees lined up wide all season so that if (when?) we get to the Superbowl he can call Hill to Brees for the TD. It'll be the 2019 version of THE onside kick

The problem is thatdefenses eventually will figure it out and scheme for Hill in the situations that call for it.

The problem for them is he's an actual QB not just a RB in the wildcat. Cheat those safeties into the box and you might have a problem on the outside.

Why do you think this has never been done before? Please google Kordell, Brad Smith, Julian Edelman, Tony Dungy, etc!

Hill Kamara RPO plays will be tough for anyone to really scheme against

If Hill can start completing even the the most simplest of passes then that package becomes almost unstoppable. I wouldn’t be surprised if they start trying him out at WR to let him run a few routes out there. Bet he could do it
