Sure it is. If you've got 40 minutes or so to kill round trip pregame and feel like sweating your face off.

need to build somewhere on the northshore with plenty of hotels, tailgating areas, shopping center, etc.

Keep the dome. Put up a stadium in Algiers in that large swath of land by the old project buildings. McClendonville, I believe is the name of that area

I like it downtown too, but i have two big gripes. First, its not close enough to the quarter to walk. Second, tailgating. New Orleans should be the tailgating mecca of football. Instead, you see a handful of people fighting over a scrap of ground under an overpass with just enough room to grill a few hotdogs.

I'm probably in the minority but I rather go to bar and have a few drinks or brunch than set up a tailgate for a noon game.

1. Not close enough to the Quarter to walk? Unless you are handicapped, you're a wuss.

2. I agree, the idea of tailgating for a pro game that begins at NOON is a joke. Something that Yankees do in paved parking lots in places like Pittsburgh, Chicago and Cleveland... the best tailgating is done on a CAMPUS with greenery and trees around,on Saturday afternoons for 2:30 or night games.

No. The city of New Orleans doesn’t deserve it either. And they won’t be able to do it without raping the small amount of tax payers that they have left.
