Going over schedule we beat ourselves with DUMB mistakes all season. Falcons, Lions, Panthers actually beat us. So problem is we don't pay attention to detail like we did in previous years (coach problem) Bye Sean that SB 44 was 7 years ago

That's been the same story for a few years now. It is the norm.

Our defense sucks

Our kicker sucks

Our o-line without Armstead sucks

Our play calling kind of sucks

Your post sucks

In the Superbowl season all these balls bounced the other way. Next year we'll have a nice draft pick, a lot of defensive talent back from injury, and we can't possibly have worse luck, so I'm excited about our prospects

I disagree with this. The past few years we were hampered by a lack of talent at WR + Guard on offense, and a complete lack of talent overall on defense. Sure, you could point to specific moments that caused us to lose games but for the most part you could call it talent deficiency.

This team now is much closer to where it needs to be talent-wise. They are literally losing games because of 1-2 boneheaded mistakes. Gone are the days where our secondary is just getting torched 10+ times a game and the DL can't stop the run and blah blah. It's much more minor now. This team is some mental strength from being good.

But, they aren't, and they are still weak at several positions, so they deserve their record. But to imply that they're anywhere near as bad as they've been in the last few years (2012, 2014, 2015) is just plain wrong IMO.

In the immortal words of Jim Mora:

quote:

You guys really don't know when it's good or bad, when it comes right down to it. ... And I'm promising you right now, you don't know whether it's good or bad. You really don't know, because you don't know what we're trying to do, you guys don't look at the films, you don't know what happened, you really don't know. You think you know, but you DON'T-KNOW, and you never WILL, okay?

No, you don't have a good memory or you stopped watching. Either one

No next year balls bounce the other team way because they pay attention to detail ie Denver blocked punt cleaver practiced play. Things aren't always lucky as it seems

well yes, obviously teams make their own luck to a certain extent but lucky bounces do affect games and sometimes they go your way and sometimes they don't.

It's been 3 years in a row now we won't make the playoffs and likely not have a winning record. So yeah that fits the criteria of a "few years".

Also we should cover...

Why the Saints Should be 3-9.

Basically gifted two, essentially unforced, turnovers deep in Chargers territory down 13 with under 6 minutes left in the game.

The Seahawks were called for 11 penalties for 76 yards and us only 2 penalties for 10 yards. If the game is called more evenly, we likely lose that one too.

This is definitely a season of "what ifs". That's usually what happens to mediocre teams.

Typical Sean Payton coached team, it's the same thing every season we could have been better every year "if" .....nobody has any accountability and Sean is just riding out until Brees retires once DB is gone Sean will quit the saints.

I'm really amazed sometimes at people ability to ignore the reality and the truth and spin things in a light that makes things seem not so terrible.

Much like Hillary Clinton supporters did.

That's because every single 8-8 and 7-9 team every year can say this.
