Why no mention of McDaniels

He was always my first choice if Payton left. He was too young his first go around as HC.
And NE has never won a super bowl without him on staff during the Brady/Belicheck era……
Garapollo looked alot better under him. And he’s made Mac Jones legitimate as a rookie with no weapons.

Only issue is the same reason Carmichael doesn’t get hired. Is it his offense or Payton’s. We know the answer.

Brandon Marshall talked about Josh McDaniels as HC in DEN on the recent Pardon My Take. Basically not many are better at Xs and Os, but he sucks at relating to the players

I don’t think that’s accurate at all. Carmichael is a quiet, low key guy and doesn’t appear to have the head coaching personality. I don’t think there’s any doubt of his skills being behind Payton for 15 years.
McDaniels was a dumpster fire in Denver, trading away QB1 and WR1 and then got caught in another spy gate scandal. He did start 2009 with 6 wins but bet ended up 8-8.

If there are guys in the portal who can make a decision up till roughly 10am tomorrow other than the 12 we've already signed - for crissakes - AND they want to come to LSU, AND the coaches have some interest then hopefully there's enough NIL $ for a player or two.
But c'mon, does anybody really think that a Staff that is working it's plan so well and is in excellent alignment like this one hasn't thought this or other less than likely occurrences/situations through?"

So yiu think the offense we’ve been running the last decade is Carmichael’s? Yea ok. Like I said, zero doubt that was McDaniels offense in NE.
And look at the two QB1 and WR1 he traded. Both severe head cases that you will ever see at their positions. Marshall was way more of a headache than MT. And was certifiable mental. And I’m pretty sure you know Smokin Jays story already if not look it up. That was smart of him to weed out those two.

Because he’s an a-hole who was overmatched as a head coach. He had trouble getting along with people as a head coach. No thanks.
