Costello is a camp arm. He couldn't even get on the field in the USFL.

They must already have a decision made about Costello. It’s not surprising, but as a fan it would have been more interesting to see him in the 4th quarter

He's being allowed to dig his own grave. Doesn't it really matter anyway. Winston and Dalton will be the two QBs with Hill being the emergency QB. None of the other QBs will make the roster.

I know CSP is gone but dam in all his yrs he never drafted a QB worth a dam, if not for Drew in
all his yrs, he was o’fer with drafting QBs

Costello probably sucks without Bo Pelini as the opposing DC but anything would have been better than Book all game. Pretty much wasted the whole offensive game.

State fan here. Costello is legitimately bad, but it has been aggravating to not see him get a rep or two. I think it’s possible since he just joined the team 7-8 days ago, they are trying to let him get more of a grasp of the offense before letting him play in a game. KJ’s preseason debut will likely make or break if he is able to hang around the league for longer than this summer. I think the Saints are trying to do him a solid and give him the best chance possible to either impress them or another team with his preseason film.

You have Drew so you are not drafting another viable QB for at least 10 years. Drafting one early wouldnt have made sense to begin with.
Everyone and their mother knew we were taking Mahomes. Thus getting jumped
I just find this a weird critique because for most of Paytons tenure here he didnt need to draft a starter. The Graysons, Books, etc were never expected to be anything from the jump.
