He will honor his contract and then decide what he wants to do. Where he lives during the offseason has no bearing on this whatsover. I dont see why so many people are up in arms about this. Who gives a shite!

because he made alot of money with a book, 1/2 of which was about new orleans and how much he loves living in his new home...

i don't really care personally, but I can see why people are upset

so he writes a book about how he loves living here but cant buy a house in another state, where he is from. Still no valid point as to why people care where he lives. Where does the Hornets coach live? I dont know, who cares. Do atheletes have multiple houses? yes, no one is rasing a stink about that. Why not coaches?

It should be pretty clear that people care because this seems like the beginning of the end. And, instead of getting 3-5 more shots at winning a Super Bowl, we may only have 2.

I'm not sure why that perplexes you.

Well said boys. Whoever can't understand the concern is living in denial.

I live in lafayette, but born and raised in NOLA. I also have season tickets so Im there all the time. He should honor his contract and then do what he wants. I hope he re-signs but back to the point, it doesnt matter where he resides in the offseason.

This board is slowly turning into the Saints' version of The Rant. If SP wins, I don't care if he lives on the moon. If the next coach wins, I don't care if her name is Roseanne Barr

I can understand some concern, but I also think it is getting blown way out of proportion.

Because what i am hearing when Payton opens his mouth about the move, "New Orleans is not good enough for my family to live here or for my kids to go to school here, but i will stay here and take the millions you are paying me to coach a team in a city I have no respect for... Does anyone else feel the same way, I know he won a superbowl for the Saints but hey he didnt get us back there and he damn sure didnt get the first one by himself, he had a little help with that...

Yeah, he now must be a terrible coach because his family lives in Dallas. Jesus this is so ridiculous. New Orleans isn't for everyone, don't act so scorned.

I have no reason to think Sean Payton dislikes New Orleans. This was probably a wife/family thing I couldn't give a crap about.

I think people are upset because they were projecting their wishes for a super hero. This guy comes along and wins a super bowl in NO. Instead of seeing him as just another guy with typical human characteristics he was made out to be some type of super hero that was at one with NO and came here to save the saints and be loyal to a fault.
This Dallas house has pulled back his cape a bit and people see that he is human with human wants and desires. They realize he isnt really from NO and isnt the super hero they so wished he was.
Sean Payton isnt a super hero he is just another joe.

I understand the confusion though

Drew is the real super hero.
