Why did Ozigbo go undrafted?

At his pro-day he ran a 4.5 40, had 19 reps on the bench, and had a 37 inch vertical. He's 6 feet tall in cleats and weighs 230 pounds. He averaged 7 yards a pop, and showed excellent quickness in the open field AND in traffic.

Did something happen off the field to scare scouts away, or did we just get reeeeeal lucky?

His running style reminds me of Mark Ingram 2.0, so I'm curious why he dropped (out of the draft, no less) as well.

The only knock on him I heard was that he was a one year wonder.

Odd knock. Lots of guys are.

he should have been drafted. Very odd ... Saints did well to supplement with the lack of draft picks.

From what I've read, he's a high character guy and Nebraska fan favorite. The only knocks I could find was he took a lot of punishing hits as a runner so durability might be a concern.

Considering he'd be a 3rd back that's fine

I like him a lot

He's tape is great. Hard to believe this guy just slipped through the cracks to us. I'm excited to see what he can do against the big boys.

Not sure how good his hands out of the backfield & pass protection are, but those could've played a factor. Those 2 potential things & being a 1 year wonder could be a part of the reason.

As far as just running the ball...he should've been drafted imo. He's competing for the #3 & #4 RB job though, so all he has to do is run the ball well. Glad to get him for free.

His highlight tapes show him really reliable on the swing routes. An analyst I read also mentioned him being able to work out of the slot, he can catch.

Dwayne Washington shouldn't be here this year.

That's good news. Might have gotten a steal.

Washington is a decent runner & plays special teams. Even if Ozigbo beats him out...he can still take that #4 RB spot (we might keep just 3 RB's like last year though). Only other competition is Martez Carter from Grambling.

Because he wasn't all that great.

He was an average college runningback in an era where runningbacks are dime a dozen.

If this was 2002 it may be a different story.

EDIT - Christ almighty it's an opinion. Would it make yall feel better if I said that I called Kamara from the jump.

I didn’t get that impression from his highlights. In fact I thought his lateral movement was impressive.

Like the top pick in the entire draft.

I think he has good feet but he’s kind of a 1 cut runner.
