College, yes or no?

Did the picture I post from Ware at Troy confuse you?

247-241= 6. Am I missing something?

You said this
quote:

Their waists tell the whole story. Mingo is a rail

when I posted pics of both guys in their college pics.

We can post pictures all day long. That won't prove much.

IMO all signs point to him being a situational pass rusher. If he develops into an every down backer then that's awesome

I don't disagree with that right now. But we need a pass rusher. That's pretty much what DeMarcus Ware was his first year or two. That's what Bruce Irvin is now. Hell, John Abraham has made a living at playing 10-15 snaps a game as a rush DE.

Wouldn't you have killed to have Mingo at LB last year when the Cowboys were down by two touchdowns with 5 min left in the game? Instead of them tying it up, we may have actually put some pressure on Romo and got a sack or incompletion or stop on thrid down.

The point I think they don't comprehend is Mingo struggles to hold his weight.

He had months to gain where most have months to lose.

What he plays at will not be what he reported at the combine

He had a virus where he lost a bunch of weight. I don't know if that's the only reason. He may struggle with it. But now he'll be getting paid millions and have NFL strength and conditioning. If you don't think a 22 yo kid can't put on any more weight, then there is nothing more for me to add.

He'll also go to his true position and I "think" he'll do much better. But again, it's why I want Jones. We saw what he did. Mingo is a project in some ways to me, but it doesn't mean he'll "suck" or be a "bust" or whatever dumb arse shite some people are saying.

Like 2/3rds of the 1st Rd are always busts. You really want to put money that Mingo's is one of the 1/3rd? 5 years in the league on the bench is still a bust- not all are J Russell quality.

Mingo is the same weight & an inch taller then Pat Swilling when Swilling came out of Georgia Tech as an undersized DE. Swilling made the transition from DE in a 4-3 to 3-4 OLB as a situational pass rusher. I'm pretty sure his career turned out fairly ok. Mingo seems to be a spitting image of Swilling. A comparison of Mingo to Swilling is more logical than to Ware.

Why do you say that. Apparently his playing weight is more than Jordan's playing weight in college. And what the hell is wrong with his weight, chubby chaser? If he can play he can play. His stats aren't as good as Jones' (nobody's is) but they are as good as Jordan's and miles better than Ansah's.

I'll take it.

I'm guessing Swilling and Johnson are too small in those pictures too.

I don't care what anyone says, Mingo is going to be solid in the NFL.
