With TNF EXCLUSIVELY being on Amazon Prime? No TV option even available... gotta think that kills their viewership.

Same thing with Sunday Ticket going to streaming too (although they may have tv option still). Just doesn’t make sense to me.

If I wanted to sit there and stream games like a jackass I’d do it illegally like I used to when I was a kid. Football games not being live on tv will kill the sport. I’d assume TNF ratings tank this year. I won’t be watching

I have Amazon Prime, so it’s okay with me. I lost NFL Network, so I didn’t get to watch those games. Some people will watch, some will not. NFL will still make tons of money. Nothing will change.

What I hate is Thursday night football! Always leads to injuries. Games aren’t very good because no time to game plan or recover. Not every fan lives in the city where a team plays, so it makes it difficult to attend.
But it’s a money grab, so nothing will change.

I have Prime so in my case it's just like any other game.

Im literally just finding this out now.

Guess I won’t be watching any TNF games this season.

Really stupid decision by the league.

I get why the NFL would do it. Amazon paying them $1billion per year. I just think Amazon is gonna have a poor ROI.

Streaming sporting events is about the biggest pile of dogshit you could subject yourself too. I’m already mad TV has a 7 second delay, now we’re gonna be a 1-2 minute delay? Buffering? How many devices can you stream on at once?

Football is a TV product. Plain and simple. You throw the game on at home. If you have to sign in and deal with delay, latency issues, etc. frick that. I’m just shutting it off and doing something else with the day.

I could see a partnership deal where there’s a streaming option to people who don’t have cable. But something exclusive like TNF is doing with Amazon is stupid imo. TNF has gotten between 12-18 million viewers the past year or two. I’d wager the Amazon games don’t fetch those numbers after week 1

i only watch the saints games for the last 3 years, no playoffs or even SB interested me

if its on regular network TV i watch it, or if its not, its not on for me to watch as far as i am concerned.

im not even all that vested in the saints games anymore, i watch them with much disinterest but like to route for them

the games are all scripted and rigged now anyway, so whats the point when the players dont get to decide who wins?

I feel the same way. The NFL has become like the World Wrestling, I'll always pull for the Saints but I'M not as invested as I used to be. I will not pay to watch the NFL!

Sunday ticket moving from one/two providers to multiple popular streaming services would bring in MORE viewers no?

With devices like Roku, Chromecast, Apple Tv, Amazon Firestick, etc... you are streaming to you TV.

It's basically a smaller version of your cable box. With Sling or Youtube TV, you still get the games on "TV". They just aren't coming from a cable TV company.

With Sunday ticket being available through more than just dish/satellite, you have options to watch the same exact stuff on your TV while on your couch, it just won't be Cox that's providing it.

You will literally still be able to watch it on your TV via any number of the streaming services that any normal adult would/should have.

Out of curiosity, how old are you?

Do you have a cable subscription? If so, you're paying so just go ahead and continue watching.

How do you not have a Prime membership anyway?

There are quite a few of us who have "streamed" the NFL for years now without any issues.

Limiting TNF to one specific streaming service may be an issue for some, but not being able to pick up the games on satellite or cable isn't a problem for many

Young 30s.

It’s not about not having the ability to stream games, it’s that there’s no desire to stream games.

I follow a specific team in England for soccer who aren’t very good. The only way to watch them is to stream their games. They aren’t on TV. I pay a yearly fee to stream. It’s fine it’s basic, but we’re kidding ourselves if we’re saying it’s as good of a product as TV.

Streaming shows and movies is one thing. But live sports just isn’t as good of a product for streaming.

It’s just strange that they’d alienate such a large audience for a sport that’s made its mark as a tv sport. It’s weird knowing I won’t be watching football on Thursdays anymore

Youtube TV has been amazing for it. They even offer access to RedZone during football season for a small additional charge.

I think old timers don't understand that streaming service via Roku or Chromecast are basically the same thing as having a cable box for "TV"

What's the difference watching a football game on your TV via your cable box and watching the same game through Roku?

Already answered this but yea it’s a shite product.

I’ve streamed sports out of necessity and it sucks and I end up turning the game off.

Idc how “good” you think you are streaming the game. Your one-two minute delay blows monkey dick

The 1 minute delay.

Potential latency issues, resolution issues, etc.

How many devices can I stream on at once?

My man cave has 5 TVs to watch every game... can I log into all of them to stream at once or is it gonna be some shitty one device one log in bullshite?

It’s just a shite option

I've been watching the NFL through YouTube TV for years and haven't had a single issue.

In fact, being able to login on any device, anywhere, anytime has been amazing.

They delays haven't been 1-2 minutes ever for me.

Streaming onto your Tv from a device other than your cable box has zero differences other than a very slight delay which is irrelevant as it's incredibly insignificant.

Any delays I've experienced have been minimal and nowhere close to 1 min.

Have had zero issues in this department as well.

I've streamed multiple games via Youtube TV with no issues.

It really isn't. If what you are doing is working for you, by all means keep doing it and enjoy it.

But your take on streaming is ignorant and very uniformed.

I rarely watched TNF and I have Amazon Prime. SO I'll be watching it as much as ever if I want to.
