Who is Worse: Haslett or DA?

The first season I started watching the Saints was in 2000, Jim Haslett’s first season as HC. It was a terrific season, and they got their first playoff win against one of the most dominant teams at that time. Looked promising going forward. Then after that… mediocrity at its finest. Consistently 8-8, 9-7 type of records until the Katrina season. Never made the playoffs again under him.
Would you say, taking out Haslett’s first season, was he worse than DA as a coach, squandering the talent and failing to live up to expectations, or is Haslett still a superior coach to who is currently in the building?

Allen is worse. When comparing the two, you can't take out Haslett's first season, because he won a playoff game. Allen hasn't even gotten his teams to the playoffs.

Allen is way worse than Haslett.

Both stink but DA doesn't bang the cheerleaders so he's worse

It’s DA. Haslett is one of only two coaches to ever win a playoff game for our franchise. Even though I agree that they have had a quite a similar trajectory where both had multiple seasons where they barely missed the playoffs before the bottom fell out. However, you cannot take away Haslett’s 2000 season and playoff win.
ETA: It’s also important to note that Haslett beat the Rams in the playoffs when they were at their peak with the greatest show on turf. They were the reigning Super Bowl champs and went to the Super Bowl again the following year. That would be like DA beating the current 49ers in the playoffs, which would never happen.

That’s close, I think DA has it

We may have been a .500 team with Haslett but they were fairly competitive I remember.
We have gotten our asses stomped 3 weeks in a row.
We were going to the Super Bowl after week 2 , now we may be asked to forfeit the rest of the year due to embarrassing the league.

Haslett won a playoff game.
Dennis Allen has never been to the playoffs.

DA largely because he's an Aggie.

We actually won a playoff game under Haslett. This shouldn't even be a question.

DA has a vagina.
Not 100% sure on that but he certainly has some healthy C-Cups

DA is literally one of the worst coaches in the history of the nfl. You know, if we’re using ‘results’ as our guide

I get that, it was more looking past the 1st year, and how disappointing the rest of his tenure was. Not taking anything away from that 2000 season, it was indeed amazing. Hakim drops the ball! One of the best calls ever

As a head coach DA by about 47 miles.

DA ,Without a Doubt as a HC

It’s not even close. How many other coaches have made it 6 seasons winning 33% their of games? Allen is one of the worst coaches in NFL history. The fact that he’s still employed is an embarrassment.
Haslett at least won half his games in 4 out of his first 5 seasons and won a playoff game. It took DA 5 years to get to .500 (with the easiest schedule you could ask for) and he will never sniff the playoffs.

Haslett was a better head coach. He proved it.
