Haslett was a great coach up until he let an injured Aaron Brooks convince him to play over Jake Delhomme. It was all downhill for both of them after that. Jim Haslett is still probably the 3rd best Head Coach of all time of this dogshit franchise. There are entire universes and galaxies between Haslett and DA as a head coach.

Jeff Blake getting injured was a huge moment. But, if that didn't happen, we'd probably never have that 2009 Super Bowl.

This Saints team as constructed would need to go 7-3 the rest of the year to avoid another losing season.

Allen has had 1, ONE, winning season as a head coach in 6 seasons as a head coach and it was at 9-8. That is as mediocre a winning season as you can get. He basically only had a winning season because the NFL added another regular season game.

Guy is awful and always has been. When the pressure is on, his defenses consistently wilted throughout his career. He’s not a great defensive coordinator either. Look at his DL since he lost Neilsen.

Haslett just got the shite sandwich that was Aaron Brooks and then Katrina. He was not a great coach but not near as bad as people think. He got a kid that showed flashes at backup QB and then was stuck with him. He also took over a complete disaster from Ditka unlike Allen who took over a very talented team.

Haslett's teams never had me thinking, going into a game, "The Saints have zero chance today" until maybe about halfway through the Katrina season. That's season 6.

DA had me feeling that way last year. DA is speedrunning bad coaching.

Is this a joke? Haslett won a playoff game.

DA has now been a HC for 5.5 seasons and has a record of 26-51 and has never been to the playoffs

I honestly completely forgot about Haslett. Wow unlocked memories there.
