Who has the best year out of these two players?

Penning or Foskey?
I’ll start. I say Penning and my reasons is 1) IMO 100% of his problems were coaching and confidence. 2) He’ll be in a new system and by all accounts this new system will be much better suited for most of the players on the OL save for Hurst. I think Penning is again your day 1 starting LT and he makes improvements and is at least serviceable if not solid.
Foskey I think improves also but he’ll be playing in a limited role as a rotation guy but could grow into a guy they feel comfortable with starting or sharing a larger role going into 25.
Added bonus: I seen Howden regressing and possibly losing the starting job to Abrams or a rookie/late FA signing this year.

Its hard to pick between two flat tires I'll be honest

Foskey because he gets a sophomore year to show improvement. Penning not likely to make final 53.

It will be the 3rd year for Penning...

Your take seems reasonable and well thought out. I'll go with that.

I mean Penning is in his third year so your question doesn’t really make any sense.
I honestly think both will suck next year regardless.

His first year was kind of a wash. If my memory holds he was hurt until like week 12

Penning at least showed promise in some situations, esp aggressive in the run game. His biggest issue was pass protection
Foskey can't even make it on the field.

Yes but has rookie year was really a redshirt year with the injury.
I guess by that argument you could say 2024 will be Foskeys first year.

Foskey because at least he plays some snaps. Penning will be the backup until I see otherwise.

Foskey isn't an NFL player. He won't be on the team in 2 years. Penning, I'm still holding out hope he can contribute at guard.
