Where does Porter's pick 6 vs Manning in SB rank in your all-time Saints plays?

I know. 'German' thread. But just watched it on YouTube along with reactions and got my tear ducts started up again :)

For me it is easily #1, followed by

2. Hartley's FG to beat Vikings in '09 NFCCG.
3. Blocked punt in '06 home opener vs Atl. on MNF.
4. Dempsey's kick 11/08/70.
5. Deuce's game-clinching 1st down vs. Philly '06
6. Porter's pick of Favre in '09 NFCCG.
7. Gilliam's opening KOR for TD vs Rams in '67.
8. Hebert TD pass to Martin vs. Minn '87 playoffs
9. "Hakeem dropped the ball" - '00 Rams playoff.
10. Archie's game winning TD run vs Rams in '71 opener, and game clinching rollout TD vs Cowboys.

I would put Hakeem dropped the ball higher just on significance.

That and the Hartley field goal make my allergies act up and eyes start watering.

Damn strong list.

I miss Saints football.

09 had so many great plays. One more was the Brees-INT-Meachem-strip-TD play against the Redskins. Also, the River City Relay was pretty cool except for the missed extra point

1. Hartley's FG to beat Vikings in '09 NFCCG.
2. The Porter Pick 6
3. Blocked punt in '06 home opener vs Atl. on MNF.
4. Porter's pick of Favre in '09 NFCCG.
5. Hakeem drops the ball
6. SB on-sides kick
7. 1987 goal line stand against the Steelers in Pitt to secure first winning season (if someone could find a vid of this it would be great)
8. Dempsey

I've been a Saints fan since Day 1 (I was 12 years old in 1967 and I listened to their first game at Tulane Stadium on the radio). I think your list is just about perfect.

Porter's pick is #1!

I don't know how many of you were at the game but it was the greatest sports moment of my life, much less Saints moment.

Great list! "hakeem drops the ball!!!" should be higher on the list, IMO. That clinched the saints first ever playoff win! That was monumental for the franchise, more so than hebert's td pass in the Vikings playoff and Gilliam's KO return. Plus I was at the game and remember it like it was yesterday, so I may be a little biased, haha.

I think the Hakeem moment is #3 or 4.

I'd put Hakeem's muffed punt right after Porter's pick 6.

That one seems kinda odd. I'd at least substitute the "River City Relay".

Shouldn't count, if you remember what happened next.

Same goes for the Minnesota '87 playoff game.

See what I'm getting at?

I have Porter at 1 and 2.

I can remember sitting in the Dome thinking about how screwed we were until Porter picked off Favre.

If that doesn't happen, knowing our luck, Longwell makes the FG. Yes, I know it was 50-plus

He was probably referring to what Henderson said when Milne recovered the fumble. He said "the unlikeliest of heroes"
