When you look at the defense with/without Kwon over the past few years, he is clearly a difference maker. Did we resign him? Are we going to?

Sorry for being out of the loop on this. I figured this was a good place to ask. His versatility on defense has been a big plus, in my opinion.

When I was talkign to Loomis doesnt sound like Saints are interested in bringing him back with all the Other day 1 starter LBs they signed in the draft.

Basically he said that they did that to lower his "price"

I told him he was stupid and should retire.

But hey man, He runs the Saints.

We should definitely pay top dollar for a guy who averages about 10 games a year

“We” want him back with the team. “We” don’t know where the front office stands

I don't think we are willing to offer at the top end of his potential value, so we have to let him test the market. If the price is right, I imagine we'd sign him in a heartbeat, but it seems unlikely to happen.

Kwon is a difference maker when on the field. I'm too lazy to look at the stats, but trust me...

I think they will if is maker doesn’t materialize. We’re talking 1 year $2 million with the incentives for $4 type deal.

I bet they would sign Kwon if it was a discounted deal.

Otherwise, they feel pretty good about Werner. He had a good first season with the Saints and will be next years starter opposite Davis. They also have the 5th round pick D'Marco Jackson coming in from App State.

Also, they have 9 LB's on the roster right now. They are probably hoping Baun and a few others show growth.

So in my opinion if Kwon came at a discount he will probably be resigned, but no way they resign him at what Kwon thinks he is worth.

Kwon is overrated on this board. He brings value, but Pete was great as a rookie. It’s his time now. Can’t get him on the field enough with a healthy Kwon. And u don’t spend 4-5M for a backup LB.

People wanna act like Kwon is a superstar.

Also, wouldn’t be surprised if they sign him at the end of the offseason on 1 year deal. The more, the merrier…but at this point, I think Pete needs to be on the field more.

People are forgetting how good Pete was as a rookie.

Just don't see the room for Kwon as it stands right now.

Don’t think Kwon really needs to give us a “discount.” There’s a reason why he hasn’t been signed by anybody at his asking price.

The kid makes our defense significantly better when he’s on the field, but health is his biggest issue. He’s not gonna give us a full season, or at least we haven’t seen it. I mean we’ll take 6-8 games of Kwon, but if he wants to be paid like a premier linebacker he needs to prove he can give you a full season.

Hopefully we can convince him to take a shorter prove it deal, or maybe sign him to something with serious injury provisions.

Saints have a price in mind and Kwon has a price that he desires.

The question is if he will find someone that will overpay or pay him what he wants.
