Coach Mariuchi asked him if he knew west coast offense or more just learning, he said just learning from some teams. Coach said which teams, Baker didn’t hesitate and said Saints the most. This was all during the qb hot seat interview deal.

Damn, Payton is smart... he's even got Mayfield in on the smokescreen!

Saints would be the best fit for him. Sucks they’re so far down and have little ammo to move up.

frick it man I was hesitant at first but this team needs the future qb. If they can grab him pull the trigger. I'm all in.

Mayfield is the guy I want. Proven leader, extremely competitive and has it all as a passer.

I’d give up a 1st this year and next, plus something extra to sweeten the pot. Go get em saints

I wouldn’t mind Mayfield at the right price. This team still has holes to fill and I would rather not give up a ton of future picks to get our guy.

But if Payton and Ireland like him and he falls far enough down then I’m all in too

I think he has the it factor. He's a little immature but what 19-20 year old isn't. I'm all in too and been all in I say do what it takes to move up and grab him

I’m all in on him at this point. I almost feel like he and Payton are Taylor made for each other. I’ll gamble that two second half first rounders and a third won’t hit as well as previous draft for a shot at getting our guy for the next decade plus. We’d also be able to extend this young nucleus we currently have.

Well he’s 23 which is sort of an issue. By the time he starts for us he’ll be 25. Not old for sure but only 5 years from the 30 barrier

Jimmy Garoppolo will be turning 27 this year for niners, hows that much of a problem?

Not necessarily a problem at all, just pointing out he’s not 19-20

Ok. I like both Baker and Rosen and wouldn’t mind saints doing anything to get either

I'd love the pick but I just don't see him dropping out of the top 10. If that's the case, the Saints would have to kill two drafts worth of high round picks to get him. I can't believe they would pay that price. If he somehow slips out of the top 10 though, I do think the Saint will try to make a move on him.
