What's with all the loyalty to Ginn on here?

Sure he had a solid season last year but this year is showing what he has been his entire career: a inconsistent boom or bust headcase. I think it's valid at this point for people to question do we use him or not

their defiant attitude to me that maybe i actually had a valid point of trying to explore trade options in preseason

He was actually surprisingly reliable last year but he fell of a cliff this year. This is the big reason he's bounced around the league so much.

Have you ever noticed where Thomas and Kamara catch all their passes, while also paying attention to what the defense is doing with Ginn? He does not have to catch a pass to be effective

And yes he has the worst hands in NFL history. But a threat is still a threat to the defense

80% of the time he’s a decoy & a damn good one. That’s why he’s here
Mall those times Michael Thomas and Kamara are running open underneath please look down field and see where ginn is pulling coverage

And I get this. It's the 20% where they actually need him to make a play and he's simply not reliable enough right now

funny, cause maybe 70% of the 80% he must have been decoying from the bench yesterday.

don't even give them that. The days of Ginn being even an effective decoy is over.

So far it doesn't look like anyone is capable of wrestling the job away from him, so we're probably stuck with him until Meredith or Smith figures it out

Trequan definitely saw his usage go up this week and defenses are really going to key in on Thomas now

Ginn played 54% of the snaps yesterday

Smith 37%

You dont need Ginn you just need a Ginn.

I know it wasn’t an easy catch at all but imagine if Smith had hauled in that TD pass that just slipped through his fingers. He’d have been an instant star.

He’s always been a 1 trick deep threat for the most part. He’s 34 and his utility is declining tho.

That pass needed to come a hair sooner. As trequan is about to nab the pass, the corner is already on his back ready to break it up.

Ginn would be having a much better year if Drew's deep ball hadnt lost some of its juice. Drew has a hard time hitting Ginn who is routinely behind the defense.

Yeah it was so damned close. I remember thinking that would have been a star-making catch. Maybe not quite OBJ's one-hander but pretty damned great.

at best he is just an "average" contributor, the majority of the time he is more negative then positive.

i liken him to aaron brooks where he throws a pick six then takes the team down the field for 2 touchdowns only to follow that with another pick 6 and walks off the field laughing about it.

some guys are not worth the negatives that cancels out their positives

i like ginn, he seems like a good guy who tries hard, but he is not better then other options if they just look for one

Brees has undethrew him twice this year on would-be TDs

he dropped a pass but made 2 plays last week against atlanta

You could also argue Ginn ran lazy routes and if the ball isn't placed perfectly he doesn't make much of an effort either. I just think his time is coming to an end and trequan is going to take his place more on the field. I think it hasn't happened yet because of run blocking more than anything

he was open and the ball couldnt reach him, that's all i saw.

Drew missed him wide open yesterday for a 3rd time too, now that i think about it. The play Romo went back and diagramed on a brees sack. Chadboy could have made that throw
