If it brings Watson to the Saints you do this and dont look back.

I don't think this as far fetched as some might believe. The Texans are a dumpster fire. Front office and Ownership are complete retards, they have nobody's in their receiver corps, and most of all they have no 1st round picks for the foreseeable future because of Bill O'Brian. Make an offer dangling Thomas and draft picks, and make them sweat. Watson doesn't want to be in Houston.

It's the Texans. They're terrible at this.

ANother thing to think about.

The Saints are essentially one of the woke organizations of the league. If I recall Watson has issues with how the Texans have handled things in this regard on top of player management. Saints being woke just might help here.

Saints have a cap problem though.

Assuming drew retires, his cap hit drops off after 2022, right?

Drew's retiring. He's got a fat check and a cush gig at NBC Sports waiting for him.

To get Watson in here, you'd basically have to drop anyone of importance

MT13, Tuttle, Granderson. 1 and 3 this year. 1 abs 2 and swap 3s next year.

Tuttle and granderson start on 20 teams. MT13, the players, and draft capital is commensurate to what the reported asking. They are reportedly asking for 3 firsts and seconds.

Trade Thomas elsewhere (acquire addt'l 1st) to use in Houston trade who has no picks in rd 1 or 2. i think they would want to acquire a ton of draft capital if rebuilding without watson and we can throw them Taysom in deal to have a transition qb.

Disinterested and uninterested
share a confused and confusing history.

Disinterested was originally used to mean “not interested, indifferent”; uninterested in its earliest use meant “impartial.”

By various developmental twists, disinterested is now used in both senses.

Uninterested is used mainly in the sense “not interested, indifferent.” It is occasionally used to mean “not having a personal or property interest.”

Many object to the use of disinterested to mean “not interested, indifferent.”

They insist that disinterested can mean only “impartial”: A disinterested observer is the best judge of behavior.

However, both senses are well established in all varieties of English, and the sense intended is almost always clear from the context.

Hey, I know what we should do. Trade our overpriced crummy players to other teams for their undervalued good players. Yeah that’s the ticket.

Thomas, Peat and Hill for a super star franchise QB at age 25?

Yes, you absolutely do that and you do it without hesitation.

No chance Houston takes that deal though.

Lol the Saints have absolutely zero cap room to trade for Watson and his contract

His contract is not tradable for us at this point. We’d take a massive hit to the cap and we’re already so far over it. The NFL probably wouldn’t even approve the trade unless we made a lot of moves beforehand to free up the around $120M we’d need.
