Hopefully in the first round. Seems like the next draft looks pretty deep at the QB spot.

If we're picking 3rd round QBS then that team is undeniably fkd

We need a countdown to his contract restructuring.

Nothing wrong with making him the backup and still drafting a qb high next year. And they can both develop and compete and we keep the best one.,

If Dennis Allen is still the head coach, then he won't draft a QB. He has to win NOW to keep his job, so he's going to draft pieces elsewhere to help him do that.

He won't have time to wait on a rookie QB to develop.

We are fricking idiots if we don’t at least work out 1 or 2 of these QB’s in this draft.

The only problem is, I don’t want this incompetent coaching staff anywhere near them.

This thread is exactly why it’s hard to get excited about anything with this franchise with the current admin. We’ll probably just draft a corner or some shite and run it all back again.

I would take Jayden Daniels with the Payton pick.

Who gives a frick if Allen is still HC. I can’t look forward to the draft until he’s gone.

How about a Heisman trophy winning National Champion consensus All-American who won the Manning, Davey O’Brien and Walter Camp award.

Because that guy is on our team and we hate him. Early picks don’t always pan out. Carr is an average QB and isn’t the problem with this team.

This team needs a new coach and some younger players. Carr can be a stopgap until we get where we need to go.

No rookie QB is coming in here and fixing this team.

Are we that sure Haener won't develop into what we want. And are we so sure that what will fall to us in the draft will be any better (because I don't see us trading up).

ETA I don't see JD falling to us.

But is any 1st round pick, regardless of position, going to fix the team? Point is the upcoming draft seems like it'll be deep at the QB spot. Why not draft someone, if the pick is there, and have them sit and develop for a year or two?

I'm good with every single first/second round prospect not named Caleb Williams. Dude has all time #1 bust written on him. Get someone to sit for 1-2 years behind Carr and be ready to take over once we're out of salary cap hell.
