What kind of haul do you think we could get if we traded the first overall pick in 2026?

It’s happened 13 times since 1967. Most recently in 2023 when the Chicago Bears traded it to Carolina ,they picked Bryce Young. The Bears received Wide Receiver D.J. Moore
2023 first-round pick (No. 9 overall, used on Darnell Wright)
2023 second-round pick (No. 61 overall, used on Tyrique Stevenson)
2024 first-round pick (the No. 1 overall pick)
2025 second-round pick
I say we trade back and get this type of deal

Depends on…….

1) Is there a potential franchise player available at QB

2) Do you have multiple teams competing to trade up for the pick… this drives up the price.

All depends on what qb is available 1.1.

In this hypothetical exercise if there is a qb worthy of a haul at 1.1 and we somehow had it, I would be highly pissed that we traded it away.

If there was a guy perceived like Luck (suck for Luck phenomenon) probably another teams top 5 pick then 2-3 more firsts and change.

If it was a Bryce Young type the other teams first, next years first, and some change/players.

If Rattler keeps improving every week until the end of the year and we still have the No. 1 pick, we don't need a QB.

Carolina and Miami look far worse than we do.

If I had to guess the bottom 5 after 2 games:
32. Panthers
31. Titans
30. Browns
29. Dolphins
28. Saints

100% this! And the price would be magnified by the fact the "we need" a QB 1. I put that in quotes because we still have an entire season to see if Rattler progresses or what Shough's capable of.

If the top prospects continue to play poorly and there is a similar situation to this past draft; you won't get a major offer for a team to move up unless they are coming from middle or lower in the 1st. If one of these guys start to separate themselves in Oct/Nov; then you could see a bidding war.

Have not had a chance to really watch the games so far this year, even missed yesterday's Saints game, why would the Titans be so low? I thought they had an above average defense with a decent core on offense to surround Cam.

You get a hall if there is a clear cut slam dunk #1, and you get more if that player is a QB.

but if there is a surefire #1 clear cut QB...why would we trade it?

This isn't arguing your point (or supporting it), I just thought it was interesting that so far none of the players drafted out of this trade have been very good:

Bryce Young for Carolina

Bears:
Darnell Wright
Tyrique Stevenson
Caleb Williams
Luther Burden

Mickey isn’t capable of seeing the future, trading down would be the right move.It ain’t gunna happen.
