Because when you can blow UP a roster with a

Top 10 QB
Top 10 RB
Top 1 WR
Top 3 LT
Top 10 C
Top 1 RT
Top 5 TE

Top 5 DE
Top 3 MLB
Top 5 CB

Top 3 P
Top 3 K
Top 1 KR

Top 3 HC

You gotta do it

Here are the QB's drafted first overall from the last 12 years:

2007: Jamarcus
2009: Stafford
2010: Bradford
2011: Newton
2012: Luck
2015: Jameis
2016: Goff
2018: Baker
2019: Murray

Presented without comment.

Great example where history has zero influence on the future. Using this as the basis for any decision making is useless and flawed.

Know what is does say? It's risky as hell to move up when there's no guarantee

You think Taysom Hill is a NFL starter based on preseason game.

That's not true and disingenuous.

Another fallacy.

I consider ALL options, including the financial impacts on the team SHORT AND LONG TERM.

You fricks think that getting one more year with Brees has ZERO opportunity cost are in for a HUGE surprise.

What cost? Because it's just cap cost for Brees. That's short term. Essentially 1 or 2 years. What long term implication is there?

Giving up the farm for burrow, even with 20mil of cap space (because you know. His cap hit is actually 10mil already on a rookie scale) is has short term and potentially long term implications.

Short term being you lose out on at least 6 top 3 round picks, essentially a potential 3-4 starters.

Long term, if he fails it sets you back 3-5 years because the next time you can draft you're essentially restocking talent like we did in 2015.

By 3 weeks. Amazing how often that stat is quoted. They’re the same age.

Time to blow it up. Saints choked 3 straight years its geaux time.

There's a bigger picture, we were at least in the playoffs and have won some playoff games. We were at least a play or 2 away from being in SB or NFC Championship games. We blow it all up and we will spend the next 25 years going 6-10.

I don't know what your definition of blow it all up is though. I'm assuming you mean getting rid of the head coach also, maybe not.

Top Roster across the board got The Saints nowhere in the Post season the last 3 years but a ticket home in front of the TV flipping channels. Blow this Bitch up!

The use of the term "blow it up" is moronic on the part of the original poster but that's par for the course here. Haven't seen anyone advocating firing the front office or coaching staff. Just that it's time to move on from Brees. That's hardly "blowing it up."

What’s moronic is someone who thinks trading ever piece that made us competitive and all our valuable draft capital isn’t blowing it up. If the Saints were to do any of these trades, people will be calling for CSP’s head after we don’t go better than 6-10 over the next 3 years.
