Rodgers with Kamara would have been deadly.

Yes it would have, especially with how Rodgers can buy time with his legs. Kamara would have even greater production playing in Green Bay.

Re watched the video when we drafted Kamara and Mel Kiper says “Goes down a little too easy for my liking.”

Oh Mel

I want to say the Saints wanted him in the second round, but couldn't pass up Marcus Williams. They were surprised Kamara was available by the third round and traded up for him. If I had to guess, I'd say a second round prediction.

It was leading up to the draft. The analysts went back and forth with the Packers picking McCaffrey (before he shot up the board) and then either Kamara or D. Cook as their first selection.

Best value in the draft thus far:
Alvin Kamara (3rd)
Carl Lawson (4th)

I used to always give Merrill Hoge crap but he was easily ESPN's best talent evaluator.

people laughed when he said he'd take Khalil Mack over Clowney.

They laughed when he said Cutler was clearly the best QB in the 2006 draft and Leinart and Young shouldn't even be picked in the first round.

He called Tebow and Manziel busts well before anyone else was willing to slap that label on them.

Kiper and McShay on the other hand...are idiots.

What? There are more variables than a QB's mobility that go into RB production. Ingram grinding down defenses. Mauling, deep O-Line. The best screen QB in the NFL. CSP's play calling. All of those help Kamara here that wouldn't be available in GB.

You should feel bad about this post.

Hoge was never a good talent evaluator. That is selective memory. He liked to throw a lot of crap against the wall and took credit for what stuck.

That's not what I'm talking about, but as usual on here I've come to expect that, so I guess I have to spell it out. When I said Rodgers buys time with his mobility it's what he does, if his main target isn't open he extends plays with his great mobility which leads to even more dump off plays to Kamara for runs. GB shortage at RB this season also means he would have been used a lot more, and as people have found out he is a very good runner, not only slippery and elusive, but he's really physical too at breaking tackles. No sharing the ball a lot with Ingram like he does with the Saints, when you factor all that in it means his production would have been even greater with Green Bay as I said.

Their OL is disastrous. Kamara breaks tackles well, but most of the time it's not behind the LOS. There were a few runs the last few weeks where he couldn't get away when the DL got penetration.

Imagine that almost every play.
