Russell Wilson.

Count me as one of the folks who absolutely thought that he and the Saints would win the NFC South and do well in the playoffs this season.

Saints would have a couple more wins if they kept L. Murray. He would have been gold against Tampa last week.

Who?!?!?!

Seriously, it wouldn’t surprise me if he were to injure himself opening a Christmas gift, this ending his 2023 season too.

It’s why you can’t bring Allen and company back next year. I’m not saying they would win the Super Bowl, but with a competent staff this team could accomplish a lot.

I actually like the idea of bringing Allen back unless there is a slam dunk candidate out there. Although, that may require the team to interview with Allen still on staff. That way, when you have your new HC in 2024, you have a top 10 (maybe top 5) draft pick to work with. Plus, you are 1 year closer to having the cap fixed (I think it's a 3-4 year process if the front office tries to fix it)

You bring in just about anyone else, you are fighting to just miss the playoffs and picking in the late teens. May even make the playoffs with a week South and are now picking around 20.

This season exemplified how out of touch with reality this office and staff is. Completely misjudged where we are actually finishing in the league and gave away a (likely) top 10 draft pick to move up for a wide receiver. Completely misjudged what we had at QB going into the season. Completely misjudged the type of coach they thought they were getting. Completely misjudged how good this defense was and made very dubious decisions when it came to Marcus Williams and CJGJ. Bad teams find ways to lose games, and bad organizations find ways to misuse/lose their talent.

Do not see anything wrong in your statement, except for the top 10 pick part. If they were able to properly judge the coach, this team is picking in the late teens, early 20s with the roster as is. I also think they ended up with the best QB available without selling out the next 5+ years in hopes the QB they traded for ends up doing well (are any of the QBs that changed teams this offseason doing well?)

Completely botched the handling of Marcus Williams and thinking they could continue replace a premier position in this defense cheaper. The question with CJGJ is does he still cause the issues that essentially forced the team to trade him if they have a better staff around him? Once they offered his as compensation for Watson, he was basically done with this organization.

We’d run away with it if Payton were here. Probably like 9-8 or 10-7

Hey, we beat the Falcons , now all I care about is making sure Philly doesn't have that high of a draft pick next year. Then that pick becomes a bust for them.

One of the announcers stated that when Taysom gets 50 yards, Saints are undefeated.

If I were DA, I would make sure Taysom gets 51 yards in the first quarter.

51 in case the stat guy makes one of those “corrections”
