No. Saints should be a game ahead of everyone else in the division if the team and staff didn’t damn near intentionally throw the game 2 weeks ago.

If this is a Sean coached team we have at least 9 wins right now

This season exemplified how out of touch with reality this office and staff is. Completely misjudged where we are actually finishing in the league and gave away a (likely) top 10 draft pick to move up for a wide receiver. Completely misjudged what we had at QB going into the season. Completely misjudged the type of coach they thought they were getting. Completely misjudged how good this defense was and made very dubious decisions when it came to Marcus Williams and CJGJ. Bad teams find ways to lose games, and bad organizations find ways to misuse/lose their talent.

Y’all are going to hate this, but if we just ran wishbone offense w Taysom all year, we’d probably be leading the division by like 4 games.

It’s why you can’t bring Allen and company back next year. I’m not saying they would win the Super Bowl, but with a competent staff this team could accomplish a lot.

Yep.

That’s the worst part, this Saints team isn’t great but it’s the most talented team in the division but have blown games in the most unclutch ways all year long

Even all the bad coaching, if Ingram makes that first down we are in first place…

I agree with everything you said. But, I do think they tried to get a franchise QB. Luckily they didn't overpay for the board favorite, at the time, Russell Wilson. I believe they were close with Desaun Watson.

They way overvalued Dennis Allen and Carmichael. Those guys are idiots.

I have no idea whether you are correct or not but it would be interesting to see.

Probably 8.

Dumbass playcalls would be less dumb. Complete lack of discipline would be less lacking.

We lost 4 games we likely would have won with just a little better playcalling or less dumb players, but more likely only win 3 of them with Sean as he liked to have his one inexplicable loss every season.

With Sean Payton still here, we run away with this division with the roster as is. Easily win 3-4 more games, possibly more.

IMO, with Sean Payton, we beat the Panthers, Bengals, Steelers, 49ers and the Buccaneers the last time. All of these losses were on the coaches completely shitting the bed at the end of the game, or our team coming out and sleep walking through the game. I still think we lose to the Vikings (they are just better), Cardinals (2 pick sixes) and the Ravens (dominated us).

You could argue one or two of those games, but we should be sitting at 9-5 or 10-4 with a competent coaching staff, even with our injury problems and our QB situation.

If we had a healthy Michael Thomas, this team would not only have already clenched the NFC South between their buttock cheeks, but they would also be a threat in the playoffs.
