If the running game is truly improved, it should keep the Detroit pass rush from being able to just pin their ears back. If that’s the case, this could be a VERY good season.

This is the kind of game where a W can springboard the season.

I think we will be ready.

It is entirely in our grasp. Detroit is already in mid season injury form

Detroit had a tiny window and blew it. They are extremely overrated

They're going to beat us Sunday. So overrated or not, won't matter. You are overrating us and underestimating them.

Shough didn't play in a single preseason snap. Neither did the entire offense. It will show up Sunday. Use your head and not your heart.

I don't know if we'll win but I don't understand why we are a 7pt underdog. This feels like one of those games that is won on a late field goal.

They are going to score 30+ points on our D. Up to the offense to keep up.

What a shite post. The 1s got multiple scrimmages against other teams which was already stated as a more controlled and productive work session than preseason game reps. You and I have no idea who will win. You are quick to denounce the Saints and praise the Lions like they are some unbeatable juggernaut. Truth is it's week one and you have no clue what any team is going to look like until they hit the field. I expect the Lions to be favored as they're the home team. Yes, it's hard to win on the road but I expect a competitive game and not just some throttled arse whipping like most of the negative arse posters here are claiming. obviously the ratio is skewed as of late and there's not many Saints fans left on this forum which is sad. Just people looking to bash and get a rise out of the small group of saints fans who remain optimistic about their team in the season.

Detroit probably didn’t play their starters either.Having said that they have the more talented team at home and will win.Detroit 27 - 20.

Yea. The Lions are without 2 safeties and a center and the lions are still favored by 7. Use your fricking head.

We were 16th in total defense last year. 4th in pass defense. Rush was 19th, but I feel we should improve here greatly this season.

We will see. I'm betting the Saints +7 but I'm not taking the Saints to win.
