Now he’s with a division rival. We can’t keep miss on big time qbs.

Same qb but we wouldn’t be paying him a fortune and we wouldn’t be tied to him for 4 years.

Carr wont see the end of that contract.

Ill be shocked if he sees past 2.

Not my money, couldnt care less what they pay him. Loomis and company will continue to do business the same way. Carrs contract aint really hindering as much as our coaches are.

I just dont see the point in pining over a another mid QB that wouldnt make us any better.

We should have done what I said the year Brees retired. Bring in one of Mayfield, Bridgewater, Dalton, Minshew, Brisett and pay them 5 million or less with incentives to be the starter to get our cap straight. Been saying this for over two years now. We needed to do this a couple years in a row.

And TB was the one to do it.

My argument has always been the same, unless you have an upper tier qb, you don’t overpay for mid grade talent. Exactly what we did with Carr. All of them are about the same level outside the top tier , some better than others.

The only way put of this is to draft. Get new coaches, draft a QB. Don't trade up for one, maybe trade down. If you miss it's not the end of the world. Try again next year. Teams hit all of the time with QBs that were drafted after the middle of round 1. I would argue that although there are many many more drafted then, that there are more of those in the league starting than those drafted in the first 16 picks, although when you draft one that high, you are stuck with him for at least 4 years.

Yeah, I wouldn't read too much into the win.

Saints were up 17 on them, at their house until Carr went down and then they got beneficial PI calls.( 2 for 6o + yards)

Keep in mind, Baker Mayfield also has a better coaching staff, two elite receivers in Godwin and Evans.

Not to mention adequate additional receivers and a Tight end that doesn't drop an easy touchdown.

The one positive about their win, is their draft status drops further away from taking a quarterback, especially Jayden Daniels.

I know, right! With Baker we would be 7-7 right now.

Wrong. He’s on a 1 year deal and if he’s so great like y’all are claiming he’ll get a middle of the road deal, just like Carr

He’s absolutely not big time or great by any means. But when healthy he’s better than Carr and has the locker room won over which can’t be said for Carr.
