Whatever. It. Took.

Sean and the new orelanites were too proud to admit something from Baton Rouge was better than what they had

The only thing we could have done was have a worse record. There’s nothing we could have traded to get him.

Couldn’t even pull a Ricky Williams type deal to do that.

Hindsight is 20/20. If he failed, we would’ve been in Ricky Williams 2.0.

Also, the narrative that Saints hate LSU players is dumb. It’s a known fact that Payton hated Miles/O players because they lacked discipline.

You'd have to have given up 4 years of draft picks to get him, and even then it'd be a bad idea.

Hey dumbass. There is nothing and I repeat nothing we could have offered that the bengals would have accepted.

4 years of draft picks that mean nothing without a qb.

It's amazing that this narrative is still going around. Imagine the Saints having the #1 pick and a Heisman/NC-winning NOLA QB was available and we traded it away. There may have been literal riots.

Bengals weren't going to give up that first pick.

A chance to get a franchise quarterback for the next 5 years on a rookie contract?

Unless it was a team's complete draft for the next 3 years, I would not make that trade.

Cincy wasn't giving up that #1 pick for our next 10 1sts . A doormat franchise in desperate need of a QB and a generational talent available; you can't buy that type of luck.

Their were reports of another team picking around 5 aggressively trying to get that pick for Burrow and Bengals were ignoring it. And you think saints had a shot in hell coming up from the 20s?

You aren’t allowed to trade very far into the future in terms of draft picks in the nfl.

It was impossible for us to move up far enough.

you'd have to be smoking as much bud as Ricky to even entertain that. Front office acts as if Payton is still here and that they are holding the foundation together.

So maybe they are indulging themselves.

There’s just the thing about Cincy actually giving up the pick…. Which they were never going to do

In 2019 the Saints went 13-3. The Bengals went 2-14. So the Saints only needed to lose 12 more games that year. You a clown.

Do you follow football? There was NO WAY the Bengals were trading that pick. Stop fantasizing.
